Enjoying spring and all it has to offer

I made myself a dress! I bought the pattern and fabric at the Franklin Mill. I'm working on three others, a tunic, a solid black linen and a knee length in a Jane Sassaman fabric.


I love the drawstring waist and the chance to use several different fabrics.

From that garden, I cut everything just before the rain.


I recently went to an artist talk on Doris Daniels Cox, a local artist from Mendon. She was an expert at portraiture. The lecture was done by fellow Framingham State Alum Kathleen Schofield on behalf of our historical society. There were dozens her paintings on display. Below are a couple of my favorites.
